Ste. 101 El Cajon, CA 92020 Instructor Carmen Vertullo Owner & Founder of Carver Labs Course Details Anyone who sells, buys, supplies, specifies or installs structural bolting is aware of the multitude of risks associated with this product. Structural and other infrastructure fastener problems can be particularly serious because of the critical nature of the fasteners - and the financial and safety consequences of non-conforming products. Training is essential for all personnel involved. This training will help identify and prevent the risky business of structural bolting and other infrastructure fastening. TOPICS INCLUDE Structural Bolting terminology – how to talk like a pro ASTM, RCSC, AISC and ASME Standards essential to understand Hands-on PIV, ROCAP and DTI testing Skidmore Wilhelm bolt tester and other essential structural bolting tools Troubleshooting common job site problems including TC bolts, HDG bolts, tools and procedures Case studies in structural bolting problem solving The latest and greatest structural bolting technology - and what's ahead Other infrastructure fastening: water works bolting and gaskets, tension rods and anchor bolts WHO SHOULD ATTEND This is a technical fastener training program, but it is suitable for all levels of experience. The class will follow the Fastener Specifications and Terminology (CFS 1) and Understanding the Bolted Joint (CFS 2) classes on Monday, July 14, and Tuesday, July 15, so this is a great opportunity to get a started on Certified Fastener Specialist™ designation. REGISTRATION AND PRICING The cost to attend this full-day, hands-on program is $1200 and includes all course materials, continental breakfast, lunch and a happy hour following training. Registration also includes FREE attendance to Understanding the Bolted Joint (CFS 2) on July 15 - which provides an excellent lead into this program for those without a bolting technology background. Although Understanding the Bolted Joint (CFS 2) is included in the cost, attendance is not required. OTHER REGISTRATION BONUSES Participants in the May 1 Fastener Specifications and Terminology (CFS 1) are welcome to take it again, at no cost, with Understanding the Bolted Joint (CFS 2) registration.
