TOPICS INCLUDE Fastener fatigue, including identifying fatigue fractures Why fasteners fail in fatigue Design and manufacturing techniques to combat fatigue failure Workmanship and how it impacts fatigue in fasteners How aerospace fasteners must be carefully processed to mitigate risks WHO SHOULD ATTEND Anyone in engineering, quality, purchasing or sales in the aerospace industry Those new to the fastener industry Seasoned professionals who work with fasteners Fastener Standards 101: Aerospace and Defense Version Wednesday, June 19 COURSE OVERVIEW This course educates participants with Fastener Standards used by the aerospace fastener industry and explores how standards are developed and amended. TOPICS INCLUDE Review different standards types and the organizations that generate them Compare how the standards differ and resemble one another Identify and use industry standards through practical applications, specifically the NAS and AMS family of standards Explain how the Procurement Standard is used in conjunction with the Product Standard WHO SHOULD ATTEND Members in quality, engineering or materials Technical sales professionals Those tasked with quoting products Anyone who use fastener standards regularly Seasoned professionals interested in an excellent refresher PRICING AND REGISTRATION The non-member price for both days is $900.
